Joyce Muniz and 2020Vision is one of those pairings that fits so well I can’t believe it hasn’t happened before, especially as label-mate Maya Jane Coles has always sung the praises of the Brazilian, and in fact was the one who alerted founder Ralph Lawson to her talents. So fast forward a couple of months and we have a shiny new EP, Drop In Pressure.

After a couple of strong remixes in September for Monkey and Suara, Muniz comes out all guns blazing on her own production- just listen to that creeping bass on the title track and those lovely clicky bits:

Joyce also provides a couple of bonus underground versions: the sleazier Purple Hills mix and the stripped down Mystic Dub. Add to this a couple of melodic, dubby tracks Wanna Be There and Calm Before The Storm and you’ve got yourself a package worthy of the mighty 2020.
