We’re all heading South this Saturday to Peckham’s favourite ex-department-store Peckham Palais, where music collective Wholemeal are celebrating their 3rd birthday with the likes of Simbad, Lief, and Outboxx. Wholemeal have been busy in their baby-years, starting with nights at Rhythm Factory to regular shows on NTS Radio, and now returning to their local hood for a Peckham party. We do like a birthday, and this one promises to be a good old-fashioned sweaty little house-fest.
Bloody excited to see headliner Simbad, partner-in-crime to Mala for his recent release on Gilles Peterson‘s label Brownswood Recordings, Mala In Cuba, also with three albums and over 200 of his own productions under his belt. Check out his Worldwide mix for a taste of what he can bring to the party.
To warm you up we’ve got an all-vinyl mix from Wholemeal resident and man-about-town Carter. Get your ears round this:
See you on the dancefloor yeah? Get tickets here.
