So, London town has given us a tasty selection of clubbing morsels to nibble on over my birthday weekend. Here are some of them:
Tonight Brodinski launches his Fabriclive 60 compilation at Fabric, alongside Stopmakingme, Jacques Lu Cont and Gessafelstein, Chew The Fat! turns 14 at The Nest, with Foamo and Bare Noize, and our good friend Joe Robots is at Egg for The Future Now! with Sinden and The Lovely Jonjo.

Tomorrow Matt Tolfrey, Richy Ahmed, Luca C and Brigante play for Unleash at Paramount in the Centre Point Building, Corsica Studios hosts Stimming, David August and Jay Shepheard for Tief, Fabric says hi to dOP and Dyed Soundroom, and Chopstick & Johnjon and Trickski play for Suol at the Old Truman Brewery Warehouse Space.

Phonica is 8! And to celebrate tomorrow they’re commandeering our favourite car park, Great Suffolk Street, with a lineup that defies belief; Heidi, Soul Clap, Matt Tolfrey, Joy Orbison, Waifs & Strays, Benoit & Sergio live, and not to forget the mighty Visionquest. Obviously we’ll be the ones down the front screaming like idiots. If that hasn’t broken you there’s an after-party at Cable until 1pm on Sunday hosted by Jaded.

If you want a little pre-Phonica-birthday warm up there’s loads going on tonight too – keep it car-park with Lola Showcase at Hearn Street, featuring Dan Ghenacia and Seuil, or pop South to Corsica Studios for 2020 Vision’s Crazy P album launch party, or head to Hidden in Vauxhall for Found: Launch with Justin Martin.

The sun is upon us at last, so perfect timing to head to Peckham tonight for the closing party of Bold Tendencies on the roof of the multiplex car park, with the obligatory Bussey Building after party, with Horse Meat Disco and the Off Modern crew.

So it’s that wonderful time of year when Lovebox is upon us, and I’m pretty sure i’ll be ducking out of the office early for Busy Pictionary and Carte Blanche on the Ed Banger Stage and Metronomy and Beardyman on the Main Stage. And as for Sunday, most fun line-up ever?

Of course Lovebox means Lovebox afterparty, and the official soirees are at Cargo with Aeroplane on 15th and Ministry on 16th, with Seth Troxler, Alexis Raphael and Joe and Will Ask. Elsewhere Ivan Smagghe is playing at Plastic People tonight with Tim Paris under their It’s A Fine Line moniker and The Nest invites Grum and Mighty Mouse for Scandalous.

Trouble Vision comes to Corsica Studios tomorrow with dOP and Will Saul, and A-Trak joins Mumdance at XOYO. We’ll be heading to The Lock for Kill Em All with Stopmakingme and Filthy Dukes. You just can’t go wrong with a free party soundtracked by some fine electro sounds.

So…. fancy a little dance do ya?

Tonight Simian Mobile Disco are playing a DJ set at The Nest with Rachel Barton for Lively, and it’s Dollop‘s 7th birthday series at XOYO with Scuba and Benji B. Till Von Sein is playing a secret East London location with James Teej for Slowpoke.

It’s RA‘s tenth anniversary, so to celebrate they’re throwing ten RA X parties with epic lineups in ten cities all over the place, including a mystery guest ‘X.’ We’re lucky enough to be attending at Sonar next week, and the one over here is tomorrow night at Cable. A Night With…Heidi heads to Bar A Bar in Stoke Newington, and Trouble Vision continues being truly great, with Tensnake and Lee Foss at Corsica Studios.

It’s that middle-of-the-month syndrome where you’ve got to the point already where you can’t afford to eat, and strangely; when you most need to stay in and conserve funds and energy, you somehow end up blowing your last pennies on the biggest dirtiest rave-ups. I want to say a big thank you to the Queen of Hoxton for easing the pocket with a great rooftop opening party last night. The brand new roof space is ready for the summer and we partied like it was 1999.

Tonight we’re migrating eastwards to The Nest, to see a bevvy of our favourites DJ for Scandalism, The Magician, Russ Chimes and The C90s to name but a few. Warm bring Mark E and Cottam to Plastic People- greats both, and Mark E’s Deny This has been doing the rounds in the last couple of weeks, and has generally received hoots of delight as a forerunner to the new album on Spectral Sound. If your tastes bend towards parties of the warehouse variety, then BokBok and Egyptrixx are playing at a secret location for Beat Redemption.

Tomorrow it’s all about rave-and-save, as all proceeds are earmarked for the save Japan disaster fund. Head down to Corsica Studios for Horse Meat Disco, Idjut Boys and friends Digging Deep for Japan, and on the river Cable hosts Dance for Japan with the Zombie Sound System crew.

And let us not forget the mighty Record Store Day tomorrow across the country. Last year was steaming hot weather and we trundled merrily along to Pure Groove (sadly online only now, but still worth a visit) for a few drinks while we listened to and purchased some good music. Sounds pretty perfect to me, and there are events all day at Rough Trade East and West, among many others.

When the Round Table Knights play, you GO. What I love about them is how they mix up the vibe and you never really know what you’re going to get, except that there’s likely to be a few chilled beauties like No Regular Play‘s Smiling Faces, and a lot of house-party jumpers. Stomper anyone? So of course, with the new album to shout about, Say What? on Made To Play this week, there’s a celebration in the air and alongside Stopmakingme they’re taking over East Village for Snap Crackle and Pop’s 4th birthday party. FUN.

The longest month of the year is finally drawing to a close, and hopefully with it the long drought on the ol’ cash flow. Clubworld has cottoned on to the fact that pay day is soon to shine upon us like a weak and distant sun, and there are quite a few tasty options for the weekend.

So, here we go: tonight go east for A-trak at XOYO for Moda, along with Monarchy, Fenech-Soler and Russ Chimes, or Big in Japan down the road at The Book Club, or further east Aeroplane is playing at The Nest in Stoke Newington. If you like things a little harder Pendulum, Doorly and Joker are playing at Ewer Street car park for Spectrum’s 10th birthday, but it will be cooooold. Tomorrow Mulletover returns to Cable with Sebo K and Crazy P, and Plastic People is well worth a visit for Caribou and Floating Points. At the Queen of Hoxton, Apocalypso features Dekker and Girl Unit – Girl Unit huge for Wut last year, and Dekker killed it at Fabric with his Twin Peaks sample Stop (listen here).

Spanning both nights is Double Trouble Vision at Corsica Studios, tonight with Roska and Roller Express (a collaboration of Toddla T,  Redlight,  Serocee and Drea), and tomorrow with Theo Parrish, Motor City Drum Ensemble and Ramadanman.

A huge huge thank you to the Ed Banger crew for giving us a slice of winter wonderland at The Warehouse Project last week. We’ve included two Carte Blanche tracks this week as Mehdi and Riton absolutely blew the roof off, and I’ve very much enjoyed watching their sets come together this year and distill into something completely reactive. We’re heading North again tonight for another monumental Warehouse lineup: Simian Mobile Disco, Holy Ghost!, Aeroplane and Tensnake to name but a few.

Down in London town tonight FACT magazine host Joy Orbison and Ramadanman at XOYO, and tomorrow XOYO is also the venue de jour for Bugged Out and Durr’s Christmas party, with Rory Phillips, Aeroplane, Holy Ghost! and Tanlines. The Dirtybird and Get Physical crews are heading to me ol’ fave Fabric tomorrow, so not only are Claude VonStroke, Justin Martin, Julio Bashmore and Catz n’ Dogz playing in room one, but in room two M.A.N.D.Y are live alongside Heidi. Over at Queen of Hoxton Orlando Boom sees Jac The Disco, Blamma Blamma! Mighty Mouse and Joakim shake it up real nice, the ultra cool Off Modern moves from their usual First Thursdays slot to tomorrow at Corsica Studios, with Dels and Egyptian Hip Hop, and Public House sorts out you easties at Drop East with Dana Ruh. Sunday it’s down the hill to The Lock Tavern for Round Table Knights and Duke Dumont playing our favourite Sunday knees-up, Blogger’s Delight.

More Thursday parties too as this week Night Slugs bring Bok Bok and L-Vis 1990 to East Village and Counter Culture host Esper Magazine with Homework and Worthy. Counter Culture closes on 1 January so you really should get yourselves down there before then – it’s got that real house party vibe that we love.

This weekend is another one of those where we’d like to be in three different cities, and three different clubs at once, but instead we’re settling for a three day party, which will probably spill over into Monday and make pre-Halloween zombies of us all. Worth it? YES.

So it all starts tonight with On the One at Concrete with Night Flight (Jac The Disco) and Capita!, whilst over the road Made to Play are at XOYO to celebrate 5 years of the label, with Jesse Rose, Zombie Disco Squad and Idiotproof. If you’re South, Trouble Vision at Corsica sees DJ Zinc, SBTRKT and MJ Cole take to the decks.

Tomorrow The Book Club pits Mumdance against Hold Still for a soundclash, and later on Stopmakingme joins the mighty Erol Alkan and Matt Walsh for Bugged Out’s birthday at XOYO. We Fear Silence brings Theo Parrish to Cable, and Tim Goldsworthy plays for Lostbahnhof at Life. Koko has yet another epic line-up with Mr. Scruff for Ninja Tune XX.

Then Sunday our local Lock Tavern is hosting Kill Em All, with Boy 8-Bit, Justin Robertson and Filthy Dukes. New Stoke Newington venue The Nest sees the launch of Potty Mouth Disco’s Sunday Sessions with Ali Renault. These Sunday parties are free, so swap your roast dinner for a sweaty rave-up, that’s what we say.

Single for the week is The C90s Shine A Light, out today on Relish, and a fitting follow-up to the fantastic 10:01. Whoop!
